SIEBDRUCKE UND PASTE-UPS VON KITRA
"Der Gedanke zu dieser Serie kam mir, als ich durch die Stadt ging, etwas, das immer beruhigend auf meine Psyche wirkt. Ich mag es, während meiner Spaziergänge zu beobachten, wie sich Menschen manifestieren. Ich schaue mir gerne die Architektur an, die Straßenplakate oder wie eine Mauer zerstört wurde. All diese Beobachtungen ließen mich über Zeichen nachdenken, die wir als Menschen in der städtischen Umwelt hinterlassen, die als Zeichen dafür gesehen werden können, dass wir hier sind und leben, sie können unsere Existenz bestätigen.
Ich denke dasselbe über meine städtischen Eingriffe: Die Paste-ups, die ich auf die Straße bringe, sind persönliche Erinnerungen daran, dass ich existiere und zu diesem Ort gehöre, dass ich kein Zeitgespenst bin."
ENGLISH VERSION
"Being outside and walking around the city always had a calming effect on my psyche. There is something special about being out – I am surrounded by a certain energy of the people, of the urban objects around me, by the vibrant hustle and bustle of life.
I like to observe how people manifest themselves, I like to gaze at architecture, to look at the freshly glued street posters or at how a wall was vandalized. All these observations make me think about the marks we leave as humans in the urban environment, they can be seen as signs that we are here and alive, they can confirm our existence and become some kind of reminders of it.
I feel the same about my urban interventions, the pasteups that I put on the street: they are personal reminders that I exist and belong to this place, that I am not a ghost of time.
"Notes to myself" is a series of paste-ups that I will be showing between April 29th and May 30th at Supalife Kiosk and from the same date on, to as long as they last, you will also find them on the streets of Berlin, in different corners of the city. In Addition to the paste-ups I will be releasing 3 screen prints in a limited edition of 30 pieces each."
